Taraba Assembly Member Celebrates Divine Favour

The Member representing Wukari II Constituency at the Taraba State House of Assembly, Hon Angye Josiah Yaro on Sunday February 25, 2024 held a special thanksgiving service to appreciate God for his victory during the 2023 general elections.
African Church Holy Trinity Cathedral Wukari the venue of the thanksgiving service was filled to capacity with unprecedented crowd that came from far and near with faces radiating and mouth full of joy unspeakable to support him at the historic event.
In a sermon at the thanksgiving service, His Lordship, Bishop Danjuma Sirari Jeremiah encouraged believers to always appreciate God for His goodness and mercy upon their lives.
The gospel preacher who read from Psalms 105:1, captioned his sermon “Make known what God has done in your life”
He drew the attention of the congregation to the story of King David from the passage he read whom he described as a person that always appreciated God and tell people of the goodness and mercy of God in his life hence the need for believers to emulate the legacies of King David.
In his testimony, the celebrant Hon, Angye Josiah Yaro who is the Chairman Taraba State House of Assembly Standing Committee on Education, said right from birth, childhood and the time he went into conventional politics, it has been God’s grace and mercy and if not for the love of God towards him and his family, it would not have been possible for him to be what God has made him to be.
He therefore thanked God, electorates of Wukari II Constituency and all those that God had used in one way or the other to help him in life.
Goodwill messages were received from the Governor of Taraba State, Dr. Agbu Kefas who was represented by the Chairman of Takum Local Government Council, Mr John Ali Danjuma, the Speaker of Taraba State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. John Kizito Bonzena represented by the Majority Leader of the House, Elder Jethro Yakubu Zikengyu, the Taraba State Chairman of Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) who is also one of the Patrons of African Church world-wide, Chief Dr. Nuhu Jibatswen Abe, the Royal Father of the Day, His Majesty the Aku-Uka, Chairman Taraba State Council of Chiefs and Chairman Wukari Traditional Council, Manu Ishaku Adda Ali Matakhitswen II who was represented by his second in command, the Abon-acio, Manu Joel Danladi Boshe and the Chairman Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Wukari Chapter Rev. Dawuda Tanko Bulus all applauded Hon. Angye Josiah Yaro for appreciating all that God has done in his life. While they pray God to bless him in all his undertakings, they used the opportunity to appeal to people of Wukari Local Government Area to live in peace and harmony without which no meaningful development can be achieved.
Shortly after the thanksgiving service, a special reception was held at Elim Top Wukari where Hon. Angye Josiah Yaro supported by his wife, representatives of the Governor and Hon. Speaker as well as the Chairman Wukari Local Government Council, Hon. Dauda Samaila Agbu awarded scholarships to youths, distributed wrappers, milling machines and financial assistance to widows, widowers and all categories of less privilege people from Wukari II Constituency.
The presence of Jukun Ajo Akhishe traditional dance added colour to the historic event.
The thanksgiving service attracted the presence of legislative colleagues, political associates, classmates, friends of the celebrants and members of the Academia.
