Taraba: APC’S bye-election victory signals party’s position in 2027 – APC chieftain

A chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Taraba State, Hajiya Zainab Abubakar Ibrahim has described the party’s victory in the August 16th 2025 Karim I State constituency bye-election as a clear indication that APC will take over the leadership of the State in 2027.

Hajiya Ibrahim, who is the Deputy National Women leader of APC, stated this during a telephone conversation with our Correspondent in Jalingo.
“The overwhelming victory by APC at the poll shows that come 2027, Taraba State is going to be governed by APC, by the grace of God”
“This is a clear indication that Taraba is APC inclined, Taraba people are happy with APC federal led government under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu”,
“Taraba people are happy with the Renewed Hope Agenda of Mr. President. This victory signals the presence of good news about to come to the people of the State and I want every Taraba person both young and old to open their hands to embrace and welcome this good news that is coming on our way”, she said.
She further reiterated that Mr. President through his Renewed Hope Agenda is doing very well at the national level which gesture she posited is impacting positively across the States.
While calling on APC members and supporters to be committed to the party’s doctrine of renewed hope, and keep hope alive, Hajiya Zainab Ibrahim added that the party’s doors are open to welcomed other political party members who want to be part of the renewed hope.

“Because of what Mr. President is doing across the country, every body want to be part of APC”.
“Politics is a game of number, the more number you have, the better for you, so, we welcome every body that want to be part of APC, she said.
Hajiya Zainab Abubakar Ibrahim however, called on the people of the State to focus on the activities of the federal government, saying any state that misses the government at the centre is missing a lot.
“Taraba people should do what I call, “Socket to the centre, they should extend their wires and tap current from the centre. You can see what is happening in the South, South, everybody want to Be an APC member”.
“Taraba should not be an orphan State, any state that is not governed by APC is an orphan State. This is because the father is at federal level while the states are the children”, she added.
