Taraba: ADC receives over 2000 decampees from PDP, APC, others

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Gassol Local Government Area of Taraba State has received over two thousand defectors from other political parties across the local government area.

Information gathered by our Correspondent revealed that the defectors comprised of vibrant men and women, who introduced themselves as members and supporters of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), All Progressive Congress (APC), New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Social Democratic Party (SDP) and All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), all from the Local Government Area of the State.
Addressing the gathering, in an occasion held at Mutum biyu, headquarters of the local government, the Chairman of the Patty’s Transition Committee, Senator Abubakar Umar Tutare expressed gratitude with the kind reception given them by the local government chieftains of ADC..

Abubakar Umar Tutare said neither PDP nor APC should be recognized again in Nigeria, even in Taraba State because both parties have woefully failed and disappointed Nigerians.
In a remark, ADC chieftain and former gubernatorial candidate of New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in Taraba, Prof. Sani Muhammad Yahaya said PDP at all levels is dead while APC is facing serious confusion.
“ADC has a brighter future and the party meant well for Nigerians and Taraba people” he said.
The State ADC chairman, Alhaji Hassan Adamu Muhammad received the decampees on the occasion of unveiling of the local government party’s office in Mutum biyu, headquarters of the local government area.
Alhaji Adamu further enjoined the decampees to be committed and faithful to the party saying ADC is the only political party Nigerians need at the moment.

While describing ADC as a coalition of various political parties in the Country, the State party boss emphasized that critical party faithfuls from the major political parties are members of the party.
One of the defectors who spoke with Reporters pledged to register with ADC, work for the party’s success and victory during the 2027 polls.
In an interview with journalists, a chieftain of ADC in Taraba, Iliya Ezekiel expressed happiness over what he described as mammoth crowd that graced the occasion said ADC is working in unity.

Ezekiel who doubles as a member of the party’s Membership Mobilization, Revalidation and Registration (MMRR) drive Committee said, “What happened in Gassol Local Government Area will happen in all the local government areas across the State”,
“ADC is working in unity and we are not bias and being a member of MMRR drive, we are out to pull members out from other political parties where they are suffering and smiling. Today, we received over 2,000 decampees from other political parties and the majority of them came from PDP, followed by APC”, he added..
