Taraba ACReSAL Opens Bidding for Swamp Buggy Procurement

The Taraba State Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL) Project has opened the bidding process for the procurement of a Swamp Buggy.
The exercise took place at the State Project Management Unit (SPMU) Conference Hall in Jalingo, the state capital.
The Commissioner for Environment and Climate Change, Hajiya Aishatu A. Barde, represented by the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Aminu Ayuba, declared the bidding process open.

He welcomed the participating firms and assured them that the process would be free, fair, and transparent, urging all bidders to accept the outcome in good faith.
Representatives of the Federal Project Management Unit/Hybrid Support Laboratory (FPMU/HSL), Mr. Aryibi Gaffar and Mrs. Monica Charles Agbeze, provided clarifications on the bidding procedures and guided participants through the process.
Taraba ACReSAL Procurement Officer, Malam Maiwada Mohammed, noted that six Firms applied for the contract and were all present at the session.
He reaffirmed the project’s commitment to ensuring transparency at every stage.
The Project Coordinator of Taraba ACReSAL, Dr. Yakubu Clement Giwa, represented by the Environmental Safeguard Officer, Alhaji Dahiru Umar, thanked participants and commended the process, describing the exercise as both transparent and successful.
