TAGIS: Gov Kefas Appoints Director General

The Taraba State Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas has approved the appointment of Surveyor (Dr) Maaku Mark Joshua as the Director General of the Taraba Geographic Information Services, TAGIS.

A statement issued by the Secretary to the Government of Taraba State, Chief Gebon Timothy Kataps says the appointment takes immediate effect.
The statement added that until his appointment, Dr Maaku Mark Joshua was the General Manager of the Taraba Geographic Information System which was the creation of an Executive Order.
It states that with the enactment of a law that currently gives TAGIS a legal status, Dr Maaku Mark Joshua is elevated to head TAGIS as Director General.
Dr Joshua is a qualified and accomplished Surveyor.
From his humble beginning as a Survey Attendant with Taraba State Civil Service, he rose through the ranks and files of the service to his present rank of Director General.
He has been recognized for his dedication to providing leadership towards achieving TAGIS goals in Taraba State.
He has held numerous positions which demonstrate his Leadership And Organizational Skills.
Dr Joshua’s extensive experience in survey and Geo-informatics is expected to be brought to bear as he takes on his new role as the Director General of Taraba Geographic Information Services (TAGIS)
