TAGIS DG Resumes Work At Former Land and Survey Office

The Director General of the Taraba Geographic Information Service (TAGIS), Dr. Mark Maaku Joshua, has officially taken over the former Land and Survey Office, which has now been integrated into TAGIS.
The handover marks the successful conclusion of the work carried out by the Harmonization Committee, established by the Taraba State Government to oversee the smooth transition and integration of the Bureau for Land and Survey into TAGIS.
Speaking during the handover ceremony held at the TAGIS headquarters, the Permanent Secretary, Establishment Christopher Machoko, , Barrister Sunday Maikarfi and the Director Land Services, Mohammed Lawal Buba all commended Governor Agbu Kefas for the visionary initiative.
They described the integration as a step towards ensuring efficient and effective land administration in the state.
They further urged the TAGIS leadership to work diligently towards achieving the Governor’s reform objectives in the land management sector.
In his remarks, Dr. Mark Maaku Joshua, expressed profound gratitude to Governor Agbu Kefas for constituting the harmonization committee and for his commitment to digitize governance.
He noted that the core vision of TAGIS is to implement a fully digital land administration system in Taraba State, adding that the agency is poised to deliver on this mandate.
Dr. Maaku assured that TAGIS would not betray the confidence reposed in it and will strive to boost the internally generated revenue of the state through organized and transparent land management systems.
He also praised the committee for a job well done and reaffirmed his team’s dedication to excellence and service delivery.
