Strike: Taraba Civil Servants join NLC/TUC

Workers in Taraba State have joined the counterpart in the country to embark on nationwide industrial action.
Findings by our Correspondent showed that civil servants deserted their workplace to protest the failure of the federal government to meet their demands.
Ministries, agencies and Departments visited were under lock and key.
The members of the organised labour Committee monitoring the compliance of the Industrial action in Taraba State were seen locking gates of ministries, Agencies and Departments.
Speaking on the development, the Chairman Trade Union Congress TUC Taraba State Chapter Abasu Sule appreciated workers for complying with the directive of the Labour leaders to stay at home.
He said they are going round the government ministries, agencies and Departments to lock some of the offices who refused to comply.
On his part, the Secretary of Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC in Taraba State, Buba Adamu said Civil servants in Taraba State have demonstrated their readiness to stay at home till federal government do the needful.
