Senator Lawan donates N5million to victims of Kawuri bomb attack

The Senator representing Borno Central Senatorial District, Senator Kaka Shehu Lawan, has donated nearly N5 million to the victims of Kawuri Bomb attacks which claimed 20 lives and 19 others wounded.

Senator Lawan had visited the Kawuri community to deliver his heartfelt sympathy and kind message.

Lawan who was represented by the Member of the House of Assembly for Konduga Constituency, Hon. Bukar Modu in his message, Sen. Kaka Shehu Lawan regretted the occurrence of the devastating incident, especially at a time when the state is celebrating the return of peace after a long period of insecurity.

He prayed to Allah to avert the reoccurrence of such a devastating incident and for the repose of the souls of the innocent constituents who lost their lives, wishing speedy recovery to those who sustained injuries.

As part of his gesture to support the families of the bereaved, Senator Kaka Shehu Lawan gave financial support of four million naira (₦200,000) to each of the 20 bereaved families.

Also, a total of N950,000 was distributed to 19 people who sustained injuries and are currently undergoing treatment at the State Specialist Hospital with each to receive ₦50,000.

The Ward Head of Kawuri expressed deep appreciation to the Senator for always coming to their aid, expressing gratitude for his sympathy, love, and concern for the welfare of his constituents.

The community leader prayed to Allah to reward Senator Kaka Shehu Lawan sufficiently, as this is not the first time the Senator has identified with the community in bringing succor at their hour of need.

In his vote of thanks, Hon. Abba Abari commended the Senator for his intervention and his zeal to always stand up to his responsibilities.

He expressed profound appreciation to the Senator for his quality representation and deeper connection with his constituents, by always standing with them in their moment of grief.

Dignitaries at the event include the Chairman of Konduga, Hon. Abba Ali Abari, the immediate past Chairman, Hon. Abba Saje, the Local Government APC party Chairman, and others.
