Security: Karim- Lamido is Peaceful, Calm- Council Chair

The Chairman of Karim-Lamido Local Government Area, Honorable Bitrus Ilu Danjos, has disclosed that Karim-Lamido is peaceful and calm at the moment due to intensified efforts of the Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas.

He stated this in an interview with newsmen in Jalingo, the Taraba State Capital.
Hon. Danjos while highlighting the state of security in his local government area, noted that, Karim-Lamido is peaceful and calm at the moment compared to previous times.
“Unlike before when people have been hearing so much news about crises in our area, Karim-Lamido is peaceful and calm now, there is no problem of insecurity,” he stated.
He stressed that the residents of Karim-Lamido have previously suffered severe attacks, wanton destruction of lives and properties as well as constant harassment from bandits who normally penetrate through borders between Taraba and Plateau state, Taraba and Bauchi state as well as Gombe state who cart away animals and farm produce including other valuables.
He however, lauded Gov. Kefas for swiftly directing deployment of security personnel to restore normalcy in the areas affected by banditry activities within the local government area, adding that with the presence of security, bandits are not finding it easy again to penetrate and cause any harm in Karim-Lamido.
“I want to thank God Almighty for His intervention and also, for the life of His Excellency, Dr. Agbu Kefas who in his compassion and proactive measures, we have been able to surmount the issue of crises in my local government. With his support, we have been able to make Karim-Lamido a peaceful area unlike before when it was on the rise,” he said.
Hon. Danjos further commended security operatives for their tireless efforts in ensuring normalcy within the LGA.
He equally commended traditional rulers for their roles in addressing the insecurity issue and called on his people to remain calm and peaceful, emphasizing that whatever that has happened, they are still brothers and sisters hence the need to endure and tolerate one another.
Similarly, he called on the state government to continue to do more for the common good of all to uphold the trust of the people, while reaffirming his unwavering commitment to continue to support the government with his people.
