Renewed Hope: Taraba Farmers Get Support

Farmers in Taraba State are set for a bumper harvest as Wife of the Taraba State Governor, Mrs. Agyin Agbu Kefas distributes farm inputs ahead of the 2025 cropping season.
The farm implement were courtesy of the Renewed Hope Initiative Agricultural support programme of the Wife of the President, Senator Oluremi Tinubu under the women and youths empowerment programme.
Our Correspondent reports that venue of the distribution exercise was the premises of the governor’s wife office.
The wife of the Taraba State Governor, Mrs. Agyin Agbu Kefas explained that the project was organized into four categories that include, the women agricultural support programme WASP, the youths support programme YASP, the every home a garden initiative and the young farmer’s club which is to be organized in all secondary schools.

Mrs. Kefas expressed gratitude to the President’s wife Senator Oluremi Tinubu for providing the platform for women, youths and children to benefit from the Renewed Hope Initiative Agricultural programme.
She encouraged the beneficiaries to make the best use of the opportunity to boost Agricultural production in the state.
The permanent secretary ministry of agriculture and food security Mrs. Sarah Ali who was represented by a director in the ministry Mrs Joyce Galumje described agriculture as a vital pillar of the nation’s economy through which women and youths are empowered, expressing the hope that, the support programme will strengthen food production and uplift families in the state.
In their goodwill messages the Commissioners Ministries of Education, Social Justice, Environment, and Special Duties highlighted the importance of the initiative, particularly the home garden which produces fresh produce at all times, improving family nutrition as well as generate income.
Some of the beneficiaries interviewed were full of gratitude to the government stressing that with early inputs they are sure of bumper harvest.
Items distributed include, bags of fertilizers, agro chemicals, seedlings, hoes, chemical spraying water jars, chicken feeds, newly hatched chicks and goats.
