Remains Worldview Editor, Laid To Rest Amidst Tears

The late Editor of Worldview Magazine and Assistant Secretary of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Taraba State Council, Comrade Jethro Yerga has been laid to rest in the peace of Christ amidst tears from families, colleagues, associates and many other sympathizers.
He was buried in his School, “Unique Nursery and Primary School”, Kyado, Ukum Local Government Area of Benue State, a school he established where he was taking refuge as an Internally Displaced Person (IDP) until his demise.
The late Jethro Yerga was buried in that location instead of his ancestral home at Tse-Atenga (Tor-Iorshaer) village, Rafinkada District, Wukari Local Government Area of Taraba State because of the unsettled Jukun/Tiv crisis which has since, displaced Tiv people in Wukari, Ibi, Donga and other parts of the State.
Preaching during the funeral Service, the Pastor of NKST Church Ayu, Rev. A.Y. Waako who read from the Book of Psalms, reflected on the words of King David which described man as a mere shadow or breath that can cease or disappear at any time. “Each man’s life is but a breath”.
He charged the people to hope in God and trust/thank Him in every situation, adding that Jethro’s demise was untimely but, divinely programmed by God.
Rev. Waako described the late Jethro as a respectful, truthful, hardworking and committed young man who dedicated his life in serving God and humanity, noting that, while his legacies continue to shine on, he would be greatly missed even as he prayed God to rest his soul.
Meanwhile, Elder David M. Msue who spoke on behalf of the Late Jethro’s family, extended heartfelt gratitude to the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Taraba State Council under the Leadership of Comr. Matthew Eliud Jen, Leadership of Worldview Publication and Creative Services Lmt and all Stakeholders in the Media Circle for their huge support and solidarity.
He equally appreciated the Pastors, Elders and Members of NKST Ayu and Jalingo including all other sympathizers and prayed God to bless and reward them immensely.
Recall that, the late Jethro left behind a wife, mother and siblings.
