REJOINDER OF THE OPEN LETTER TO HON. JOSEPH KASSONG KANOH, MEMBER REPRESENTING YORRO CONSTITUENCY ON HIS DECISION TO JOIN THE PEOPLE’S DEMOCRATIC PARTY. PDP
The attention of the media handlers of Hon. Joseph Kassong Kanoh, Member representing Yorro state Constituency at the Taraba State House of Assembly, have been drawn to an open letter written by Comr. John Aaron Jamazang and other well-meaning concerned individuals.
The decision of Hon. Joseph Kassong Kanoh to switch from the Social Democratic Party (SDP) to the PDP was a consolidated and unified decision made by his teaming political supporters, friends, associates, well-wishers, and constituents who solidly demonstrated the spirit of mobilization and sportsmanship that ensured his electoral victory at the 2023 general elections despite running on relatively not too popular political party the SDP
1. Grassroots Support
Hon.Jooseph Kassong Kanoh undoubtedly enjoys unconditional support and will most certainly continue to receive and enjoy steady support from his constituents, given his credibility, humility, and proven track record of delivering democratic dividends to Yorro Constituency, these verifiable dividends of democracy included portable drinking water, construction and renovation of block of class rooms, provision of social amenities, market building,s welfare schemes, youth and women empowerment, facilitates employment of several people among other areas.
His loyal constituents have consciously testified to his generosity and his deep concern for Yorro Constituency’s progress, noting the attendant unprecedented benefits. for the masses, credibility now takes precedence over political party affiliation.
Therefore, Hon. Kassong’s priority now is to deliver more dividends of democracy to his constituents rather than concentrating on the 2027 general elections.
2 . SDP Loyalists Now PDP Loyalists.
The entire SDP structure, members and supporters in Yorro have unanimously agreed to defect to PDP with Hon. Joseph Kassong Kanoh, and it may interest you to know that even the members of All Progressive Congress loyalists in Yorro have agreed to follow Hon. Joseph Kassong Kanoh to PDP, the Retirees also desperately to join him.
The Yorro constituency’s representative at the Taraba State House of Assembly has restated his resolve to provide democratic dividends to the people, observing that a change in environment or political party would not compromise his objectives come 2027
3 . God is the source of all power and authority. The 2023 electoral victory of Hon. Kanoh was made possible by providence. It is inevitable that elections will be accompanied by challenges. As a result, our collective commitment to joining the PDP is based on our faith in God and the endorsement of the people of Yorro. By God’s grace, we anticipate a seamless transition in 2027, a year which outcome rests with God.

Indeed, many have attested that, in the history of Yorro constituency, there has never been a period of comparable leadership excellence as demonstrated by Hon. Joseph Kassong Kanoh, whose exceptional credibility has captured the hearts and minds of most constituents.
Before I conclude this response, let me emphasize that a crucial aspect of being a deft politician is recognizing that there are no permanent enemies in politics, as evident in my renewed focus, alongside my predecessor from the same political party, on making Yorro great again.
