Protest: Ardo/Kola LG boss thanks youths, others for staying away

The Chairman of Ardo/Kola local government area of Taraba State, Hon. Ismaila Zakari (Dangote) has appreciated the doggedness of the residents especially the youths across the ten Wards of the Council for staying away from the on-going nationwide protest.

Dangote who also thanked his people for obeying the advice of Governor Agbu Kefas and other critical stakeholders from the state, who pleaded that protest is not the solution to what Nigerians are passing through, advised that they maintain the tempo.
Hon. Ismaila Zakari, who added that prayer is the best option at this trying moment spoke to our Correspondent weekend through a telephone conversation. He urged both Muslims and Christians to enter their places of worship and pray.
The Council Chairman, who lamented that already, several lives have been lost to the protest in some states of the federation, coupled with thousands who have died even before the protest due to hunger and suffering, said both Christians and Muslims should intensify prayers.
He said Governor Kefas has good plans for the State and if something unpleasant happens as a result of the protest, we may regret it after.

“Protest done violently will not do anyone any good, it will rather lead to the destruction of lives and property so, don’t participate, continue to stay away from it”.
“It’s a well known fact that Nigerians are suffering, many have died owing to the high cost of living and I will continue to call on both Christians and Muslims to enter their various places of worship to pray for that is what we need at this trying moment”.
“If we, as a State go into protest which may result to violent thereby endangering the lives and property of the people, to be very candid, such will give negative affect to Governor Kefas’ good work for the people of the State”, said Dangote.
Dangote further encouraged the people of Ardo Kola Local Government council and other residents in the state to believe in Dr. Kefas’ administration describing him as a Governor that has the fear of God.
He however, called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to accord good governance to Nigerians and consider their plight as his priority.
