President Tinubu in Bauchi Mouns death of Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, Condoles Family, Re- Name FUMS Azare after him

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Saturday in Bauchi, visited the family of late Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi to condole them over the passing away of a nationalist whose death means a lot to Nigeria and Nigerians.

The President, described the death as a “great national loss,” noting that the Sheikh’s life symbolizes humility, service, and dedication to the teachings and practice of Islam.
President Tinubu offered special prays for Allah’s mercy upon the soul and admission of late Dahiru Bauchi into Jannatul Firdaus.
He urged Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi’s family, the government, and people of Bauchi State to bear the irreparable loss with fortitude to Allah, considering the fact that “all that lives must die”.

During the visit, The President, announced the re-naming of the Federal University of Medical Sciences Azare, to Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi University Azare, in honour of the late cleric’s outstanding contributions to Islamic Scholarship, spread of knowledge, Peace and national Unity.
He urged Nigerians to continue to pray for peace and unity across the country, emphasizing the need for collective resilience in challenging times.
Governor Muhammad, in his remarks, expressed deep appreciation to President Tinubu for the condolence visit and the honour accorded to late Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi.

He further thanked the President for Standing with Bauchi state government during the period of mourning and honoring the family and Bauchi State at large.
Members of the presidential delegation include Governors of Yobe Mai Mala Bunni, Plateau Barrs. Caleb Muftwang, representatives of the Senate President and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, Minister of Health, Professor Muhammad Ali Pati and other Senior government officials.
