President Tinubu condoles Bauchi Citizens over Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi’s death

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has described the death of a renowned Islamic Scholar, Sheik Dahiru Usman Bauchi as a great loss to the nation.

President Tinubu made the remark on Saturday when he paid a condolence visit to the family of the late renowned Islamic scholar in Nigeria where he described the death as a “great national loss,” noting that the Sheikh’s life embodied humility, service, and dedication.
The President who arrived Baúchi from Maiduguri in the evening prayed for Allah’s mercy upon his soul and for his admission into Jannatul Firdaus.
Tinubu also prayed for strength for the Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi’s family, the government, and the people of Bauchi State to bear the loss.
Tinubu stated that in order to immortalize the late Sheikh, the Federal University of Medical Sciences Azare has been named after him “taking into cognizance his numerous contributions to education”.
He urged Nigerians to continue to pray for peace and unity across the country, emphasizing the need for collective resilience in challenging times.
Governor Bala Mohammad who received the delegation, thanked President Tinubu for honoring the family of late Dahiru Usman Bauchi and the entire citizens of Bauchi State.
Earlier, Dr Bashir Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi who spoke on behalf of the bereaved family, expressed profound gratitude to the President for sending a high profile delegation to attend the funeral of their father and for “coming to Bauchi personally to condole the family.
Members of the presidential delegation include Governors of Yobe and Plateau states, representatives of the Senate President and Speaker of the House of Representatives among others.
President Tinubu has since left for Lagos State to observe his Christmas and new Year Holidays.
