Premier League Week 7 in Focus

Tottenham Hotspur failed to build on the momentum with which they tore Manchester United to shred in their week 6 encounter at Old Trafford as they were stunned by Brighton Hove Albion.
Tottenham Hotspur blew a two goals lead in their terrible 3-2 defeat as Brighton roared back, and Tottenham Hotspur suffered a second-half collapse at the Amex Stadium as Yankuba Minteh,
Georginio Rutter and Danny Welbeck all scored to hand them their third defeat in seven Premier League games of this season.
Tottenham Hotspur opened the score in the 23 minute of the first half through Brendan Johnson and in the 37 minute.
James Maddison double the lead before half time but on resumption of the second half, Yankuba Minteh reduce the deficit to one in the 48 minute before Georginio Rutter levelled up the score in the 58 minute, while Danny Welback struck the winner in the 66th minutes to send the fans into a frenzy of jubilation.
Liverpool, Manchester City, and Arsenal all pulled clear on top of the league as Chelsea and Aston Villa failed to close the gap by dropping points against Nothingham Forest and Manchester United respectively at home.
Chelsea played out a one all draw with Nothingham Forest at Stamford bridge while Aston Villa could not reproduce feat with which they defeated Bayern Munich in the Champions League against Manchester United whose players seems to have realized that they need to step up their game if they are to make any meaningful impact or challenge for the league title.
Manchester United stood to their game plan and were able to contained Aston Villa and almost won the match but Bruno Fernandez effort came off the wood work.
In the Spanish LA Liga, Barcelona continue to lead the table as they trash Deportivo Alaves 3-0, hattrick scored by Robert Lewandowski to restore their three points lead on top of the submit, Real Madrid had earlier on Saturday close the gap with a 2-0 victory against Villarreal with Federico Valvarde and Vinicius Junior scoring both goals.
In the German Bundesliga Bayer Leverkusen fail to close the gap between them and their rival Bayern Munich which were held to a three all draw by Eintrach Frankfurt by playing out a two all draw also against Holstein Kiel at home while the story remains the same in the Italian Serie A as Juventus were unable to close the lead between them and Napoli who are leading the pack.
