Polytechnic Bali Mourns Death of Rector’s Mother, Prays For Allah’s Mercy For the Deceased

The Members of the Management and Academic Board of the Federal Polytechnic Bali in Taraba State, on Saturday paid a condolence visit to the family of the Rector of the Institution, Dr. Mohammed Usman on the demise of his mother, Hajia Halimah Usman in Gwoza, Borno State.


The delegation which was led by the Deputy Rector, Engr. Sani Isa Abubakar, while condoling with the family, described the death of Hajia Halimah Usman as a great loss not only to the family but the entire Gwoza and the Polytechnic Communities.


Speaking on behalf of the delegation, the Acting Registrar of the Federal Polytechnic Bali, Alhaji Umar Ibrahim Baba, described Hajia Halimah as a true mother who mentored and trained not only her biological children but many others whose upbringing and disciplined are of great benefits to the Society.


He said, the vacuum created by her death can hardly be filled.

She would continued to be remembered for her contributions to humanity and the socio economic lives of many.


Responding on behalf of the family, Dr. Mohammed Usman, expressed gratitude and appreciation to the Polytechnic Community for identifying with the family at their time of bereavement.


He thanked the delegation for the visit despite the distance and security challenges associated with the journey.

The Rector expressed gratitude to staff, Students, traditional institutions and members of the public for their calls and prayers.


Dr. Mohammed Usman, prayed Allah to grant them journey mercies back to their destinations.

Late Hajia Halimah Usman, died last Wednesday in her matrimonial home in Gwoza after a protracted illness.
She is survived by nine Children, 4 males and 5 females with the Rector as the eldest son.


Despite of the security challenges associated with the road, sympathizers from far and near are trooping into the community to register their condolences and to offer prayers for Allah’s mercies and to reward the soul of the deceased with Aljannatul Fir daus.
