POLICE RESCUE KIDNAPPED VICTIM IN ADAMAWA RAID

A combined team of police operatives and professional hunters has rescued a kidnapped victim after raiding a criminals’ hideout in the mountainous terrain of Gombi Local Government Area of Adamawa state.
The operation, which was launched based on credible intelligence, led to a gun battle as the kidnappers opened fire on the security team upon sighting them.
Overpowered by the superior firepower of the security forces, the kidnappers were forced to flee, abandoning their victim unharmed.
The rescued individual has been identified as Isah Adamu, a 28-year-old resident of Gurin town in Fufore Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
In a statement signed by the command’s spokesman, SP Suleiman Nguroje, the Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, commended the officers for the successful operation.
CP Morris assured the public that efforts are ongoing to track down and apprehend the fleeing suspects.
He has also directed the Anti-Kidnapping Unit to take over the case and conduct a discreet investigation.
The Adamawa State Police Command reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all residents in the state.
