Philanthropist Empowers Wukari Youths Through First-Ever Tech Boot Camp

By Henry Agbu

In a landmark initiative aimed at promoting digital inclusion, Fadallah Habufari, an indigene of Wukari in Taraba State, has trained 88 youths and sponsored an additional 49 candidates for advanced digital training through the first-ever Tech Boot Camp held in Wukari.

The Boot Camp, the first of its kind in the area, equipped participants with laptops and essential digital skills, preparing them to take advantage of the emerging opportunities in the technology-driven world.

Speaking at the event, the philanthropist, Fadallah Habufari emphasized his commitment to helping others rise, noting that empowering young people contributes to reducing social pressure, crime, and dependency within the community.

“I believe in helping others rise. Supporting our youth not only empowers them to earn a living but also makes our communities stronger,” Habufari said.
“For example, a yam seller in Wukari can now market and sell products to customers around the world through digital platforms.”

Explaining the choice of a technology-based initiative, Habufari said he conducted a careful analysis and realized that digital skills have the power to transform lives and create sustainable livelihoods for the next generation.

He also called on other well-meaning individuals, especially wealthy citizens, to emulate such initiatives and invest in youth empowerment.

“When you help people rise, you make the community stronger,” he added.

Some of the beneficiaries expressed heartfelt gratitude to Habufari for his generosity and vision.

They noted that they had long desired to join such a program but lacked the financial means until Habufari sponsored them.

“We had been hearing about such training programs but couldn’t afford them. Fadallah made it possible for us to participate for free. We have learned so much and pray that God continues to bless him,” one participant said.

The Wukari Tech Boot Camp marks a significant step toward bridging the digital gap in Taraba State, inspiring hope for a more self-reliant and tech-savvy generation.
