Peter Obi Donates N15 Million to boost Health, Qur’anic Schools in Bauchi

The Presidential candidate of the Labour Party ( LP ) in the 2023 general election, Peter Obi, in his nationalistic manner and generosity donated N10 million to Milikiya College of Health, Nursing Sciences and N5 Million to
Inyisharu Taufizul Qur’anic Islamiyya in Bauchi, respectively.
Presenting the cheques to the schools management recently in Bauchi, Obi pointed out the critical role the health sector plays in people’s lives, especially among less privileged citizens. “Health is wealth,” he said”, and its importance to society cannot be overemphasized.”
According to him, “The health sector is critical, vital, and important for us to do the right thing, which is why I’m supporting you to continue doing the good job of saving lives.”
In a related development, at Inyisharu Taufizul Qur’anic Islamiyya School in Yelwa, Obi expressed excitement about the school’s initiative.
“Since we have kids in most of our Almajiri schools all over the North, we want to take Western education Schools to them to learn formal education,”.
“They would learn the Quran, which teaches them how to be better human beings and have values to live in a good society and also to learn English and Mathematics that would make them great Scientists, Doctors, and everything.” Obi explained..
During his visit, Obi also had an interactive session with the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Students Union as part of his continued engagement and support for the educational sector under his “Obidient Project.”
He explained that Nigeria’s future lies in the hands of the younger generations and therefore advised them to focus on their education to become better and purposeful citizens who can contribute to positive changes in the country.
