PDP Northeast: Taraba Secures 4 Positions

A former Vice Chairman of Wukari Local Government Area of Taraba State, Hon Tijani Sale Angyu has emerged as the Northeast Zonal Youth Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Hon Tijani Sale Angyu who is currently the Special Adviser designate to the Taraba State Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas on Youth Mobilisation was among other Zonal officials of the Party who emerged through the zoning of positions among the states of the zone.
Others include Mr Solomon Dominic as Financial Secretary, Esther Ishaya, Zonal Ex-Officio while Alhaji Zakari Ibrahim Adimbo emerged as the National Ex-Officio.
The remaining Zonal positions of the Party were occupied by other states of the zone.
The exercise followed the expiration of the tenure of the current Zonal leadership this February.
The contestants to the various zonal positions were earlier screened by the Committee constituted by the National Secretariat of the Party headed by Senator Kawu Abdullahi.
While congratulating the new zonal officials, he commended the support of the three PDP Governors in the zone for their achievements and support to the party.
In a vote of thanks, the Zonal Secretary of the party also applauded the commitment of the three governors of the zone for their unwavering support towards the success of all activities of the Zonal Headquarters.
He equally appreciated the committee for the fair conduct of the screening exercise, commending the screened Party members who have emerged as zonal officials for their matured coordination throughout the exercise, and wished them success in the forthcoming Zonal Congress.
It could be recalled that the Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed who is also the Chairman PDP Governors Forum had earlier announced during the just concluded caucus meeting held in Bauchi, a swapping of seats across states of the zone thus;

Publicity Sec = Borno
