PDP Accuses APC of Instigating Crisis in Rivers – Bala Mohammed

The Chairman of the PDP Governors Forum and Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Mohammed, has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of causing the ongoing leadership crisis within the People’s Democratic Party, (PDP) in Rivers State.

Governor Mohammed made this statement during a press briefing following a meeting with members of the PDP Board of Trustees at the Government House in Bauchi.
He expressed concern over the power struggle between the current Governor, Siminalaye Fubara, and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, attributing the discord to a deliberate strategy by the APC to infiltrate the PDP in states under its control.

In addition, Governor Mohammed revealed that he had met with members of the PDP National Working Committee the day after his engagement with the Board of Trustees, emphasizing that steps are being taken to implement decisive measures aimed at unifying the party.
Earlier, Board of Trustees Chairman Adolphus Wabara praised the Governor for his efforts in seeking effective solutions to the crisis and expressed the Board’s willingness to support these initiatives.

Wabara also indicated that the Board plans to hold separate meetings with both factions involved in the dispute to facilitate a resolution.
