Oxford Integrated Academy Celebrates 5th Annual Speech and Prize-Giving Day in Grand Style

Oxford Integrated Academy illuminated Sabon Gari, Jalingo in Taraba State, with colour, pride, and celebration, hosted its 5th Annual Speech and Prize-Giving Day, a remarkable event honouring academic excellence, talent, and growth.

The occasion drew a vibrant audience of parents, dignitaries, education stakeholders, and community leaders, all gathered to celebrate the Academy’s inspiring journey and remarkable accomplishments.

The event began with a warm welcome from Head Boy Ibrahim Umar, who addressed guests with composure and gratitude on behalf of the student body.
He reaffirmed the students’ commitment to the school’s core values: discipline, academic excellence, and moral integrity, setting an enthusiastic tone for the day.
Vice Chairman of the PTA, Hon. Philip Oliver, speaking on behalf of the Chairman, Alh. Usman Abare, described the occasion as a celebration of vision and progress.

“We’re proud of our students. With the solid foundation they’ve received here, they can confidently stand anywhere in the world,” he said, urging parents to continue supporting the school’s noble mission.

In an emotional and inspiring speech, Proprietor Mr. Musa Dauda Lazeeh reflected on the Academy’s evolution—from modest beginnings to a thriving academic institution.
“We began in 2018 with just five pupils and a dream. Today, we are over 500 strong—proof that vision, hard work, and God’s grace bring success,” he remarked.

Mr. Lazeeh emphasized that the school’s mission extends beyond academics—to shaping future leaders who are intellectually sound, morally upright, and purpose-driven.
“Graduation is just the beginning. Go forth, dream big, and make your mark,” he encouraged the graduating students.

He concluded by praising the event’s organizing committee and reaffirming the school’s commitment to continuous improvement.
“Let’s keep raising the bar—together.”

In a goodwill message, Hajiya Badiatu Murtala lauded the Academy for nurturing confident, articulate, and well-rounded students.
“It’s heartwarming to hear our children speak fluent English—even Queen’s English! Oxford Integrated Academy is truly exceptional,” she noted, urging continued support for quality education.

Mallam Umar Usman Danwanzam, PTA Secretary, underscored the significance of celebrating student achievement:
“These awards are more than trophies—they are seeds of motivation for every student.”
