Our target is to return Wikki FC to Premier League, says Club Chairman

The management of Wikki Tourist Football Club of Bauchi have reiterated their commitment to return the club to the Nigeria premier football league at the end of the current Nigeria national league NNL.

The chairman of the club, Engineer Muhammad Auwal Gotal, made the remark yesterday while addressing sports journalists at the NUJ Secretariat Bauchi while featuring in a SWAN Forum.
Engineer Auwal Gotal Said, the team performance has been excellent at the end of the first round of the 2024-2025 campaign, hence the need to continue on winning ways until the end of the season.
He explained that the club had earlier recruited a competent Coach Abdu Maikaba and also participated in two pre-season tournaments with premier League clubs in order to build the team for success where it reached the finals .
The chairman added that, as the second round of 2024-2025 will get underway next month, the club had engaged the services of three additional players from different clubs, including an attacker to boost the existing team.
According to Auwal Gotal, welfare of players and officials of the club remain top priority of the team since coming onboard last year, saying so far the players are not owning outstanding salaries or match bonuses.
” When we came on board we decided to promote players welfare by paying match bonuses immediately after each match, we lost a game in Gombe but we decided to motivate the players by giving them winning match bonuses. For the first time we paid match bonuses for State Federation Cup” he said
The Bauchi based club is currently topping group C conference of the NNL with 13 points from 4 wins, one draw and one lost. #
