Office Accommodation: Yobe Opens Tender for Construction of One-Storey Building At Investment Company

 – As Commerce Ministry Expatiate On N6.1b Damaturu Mega Motor Park

The Yobe State Ministry of Commerce, Industry, Tourism, and Solid Minerals has officially opened tender bids for the construction of a one-storey head office block for the Yobe Investment Company Limited.

Speaking at the occasion, the Commissioner of the Ministry, Rt. Hon. Kaigama Umar, announced that four companies submitted bids for the project.

He said, “The bidders include M&T Worldwide Links Limited, KC Construction Nigeria Limited, Damuli Investment Company, and Chiromadi Ventures Nigeria Limited.”

Kaigama emphasized that, in line with the Public Procurement Act, the tender was advertised in national dailies of February 17, 2025.

The commissioner further stated that the Ministry will forward the bid documents to a technical evaluation committee for thorough assessment and analysis.

“The final evaluation will then be submitted to the Bureau of Public Procurement for approval.”

One of the representatives of the bidding companies, Mai Musa Mai Bukar of Chiromadi Ventures Nigeria Limited, expressed appreciation to the Ministry and the Yobe State Government for ensuring transparency in the bidding process.

It could be recalled that recently, the Yobe State Government, through the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, Tourism, and Solid Minerals, awarded contract for the construction of the Damaturu Mega Motor Park.

The contract, valued at N6,131,206,083.23, was awarded to Samsud Construction Company Nigeria Limited.

The new motor park will be strategically located near Potiskum, at the Damaturu-Kasaisa Bypass Roundabout along the Potiskum-Damaturu-Maiduguri road.

The facility will feature a terminal building, administration block, security gates, police and fire stations, driver stations, shops, restaurants, a mosque, a fruit market, a clinic, a cargo office, an NURTW office, public conveniences, parking spaces, a power house, a gas refilling station, and a maintenance workshop, among other facilities.

The project is expected to be completed within twelve calendar months.
