NWONYO FISHING FESTIVAL: THE NEED TO APPLAUD GOVERNOR AGBU KEFAS.

April 19th – 20th, 2024 has been designated by the Taraba State Government under Dr. Agbu Kefas as the days for the Nwonyo Fishing Festival which will take place at Lake Nwonyo in Ibi local Government area of Taraba state.
This festival was last hosted about 15 years ago until the moving forward administration of Dr Agbu Kefas deemed it fit to revive it considering its huge economic gains which will be beneficial to the overall development and progress of the state.
To say that this festival is of great advantage and is key to attracting investors and tourists to the state which will contribute to its development, is an understatement.
Nwonyo Fishing Festival comes along with huge opportunities for investments and development.
The festival also comes with blessings such as empowerment as winners in both Fishing and other cultural activities will receive various prizes. While business activities in the area will also boom as people from across the country will be in Ibi town.
For the 2024 Nwonyo Fishing Festival, Taraba’s famous and powerful General, TY Danjuma is expected to serve as Chairman of the occasion. His presence at the Nwonyo Fishing Festival will definitely be a huge blessing as good things are expected to come out of the occasion.
Again, creme de la creme of the society including the working Governor of Taraba state, Dr Agbu Kefas, National and State Assembly Members and top government Functionaries from all levels of government will be live in Ibi while the event will be televised live on national televisions.
It takes the visionary leadership of Dr Agbu Kefas who understands the importance of the festival to have it resuscitated.
