NUT TO STRENGTHEN TEACHERS WELFARE SCHEME IN ADAMAWA

The Nigeria Union of Teachers, NUT Adamawa State Wing is to deploy machineries and workable modalities that would reinvigorate its Teachers Welfare Scheme for the benefit of its members.

The State Chairman of the Union, Comrade Faisal Mohammed gave the indication during the Annual General Meeting of the Scheme which had in attendance, representatives of the 21 local government areas of the state as well as other stakeholders of the union.

The Chairman who stated that the move is part of his Administration’s agenda, implored teachers to be committed to their responsibilities as efforts are being put in place to reposition the scheme.

He said the Teachers Welfare Scheme is pivotal, urging the gathering to contribute their inputs in revamping the scheme.

The Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Comrade Michael Dzarma,who highlighted the difficulties being faced by the scheme also underscored its relative importance to a large scale, calling on stakeholders to proffer solutions for its viability.

Comrade Michael Dzarma further acknowledged the unwavering support and cooperation of SWEC members and Teachers across the State.

The consensus of speakers at the AGM, commended Comrade Faisal Mohammed for his initiatives and exemplary leadership in . moving Nigeria Union of Teachers Adamawa State Wing forward.
