NUT ADAMAWA PAYS CHRISTMAS HOMAGE TO LATE RODNEY NATHAN’S MOTHER

In a gesture of seasonal solidarity and continued fellowship, the State Executive of Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) Adamawa State Wing, has paid a special Christmas visit to the family of its late Chairman, Rodney Nathan in Njoboliyo,Yola-South Local Government Area of Adamawa state.
The delegation, led by the current State Chairman, Comrade Faisal Mohammed visited the late Nathan”s aged mother and family home on Friday to extend festive felicitations and support to the late chairman’s aged mother.
Speaking during the visit, the State Chairman emphasized that the gesture was in keeping with the union’s tradition of honouring and caring for its own, especially during the festive season.
He stated that the purpose was to bring Christmas cheer and solidarity to the family.

“We are here to share in the joy of Christmas with you, our mother, and to assure you that the NUT family has not forgotten you,” the Chairman said.
He offered prayers for her sound health and longevity, reiterating the union’s commitment to continually supporting the Nathan family.
As a practical demonstration of this support, the delegation presented an assortment of gift items, including assorted wrappers, food staples, and a cash donation.
The late chairman’s mother, Mama Nathan, visibly moved by the visit, offered heartfelt prayers for the State Chairman and his team.
She prayed for divine guidance, protection, and prosperity upon the chairman and his family.
She also asked for wisdom and success in all his endeavors to lead the state’s teachers.
Responding on behalf of the family, the elder brother of the late Rodney Nathan expressed profound gratitude to the State Chairman and the NUT for the sustained love and remembrance.
His sentiments were echoed by another family member, who also thanked the delegation for their kindness and thoughtful visit.

The solemn and touching occasion culminated in interfaith prayers offered by faithfuls from both Christian and Islamic traditions, underscoring the unity within the union’s ranks.
Following the family visit, the State Chairman and his entourage proceeded to the Njoboliyo Central Square to join the ongoing Njoboliyo Day celebration.
The event, integrated into the community’s Christmas festivities, featured a line-up of lectures, speeches, and colourful cultural dances.
The NUT’s visit is seen as a significant act of upholding the values of camaraderie and mutual support, reinforcing the bond between the union’s past and present leadership.
