NULGE Yobe State Chapter Inaugurates New State Administrative Council

The Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) Yobe State Chapter has inaugurated its State Administrative Council on Tuesday, February 25, 2025.

The oath of office was administered by Comrade Musa Hassan-Badawi, the National Publicity Secretary of the Union, representing the National President General, Comrade Akeem Ambali Olatunji.
In his remarks, Comrade Musa Hassan-Badawi congratulated the new officials and urged them to work in synergy, uphold the Union’s image, and prioritize members’ welfare.
The State President, Comrade Baba Shehu Mustapha, highlighted his achievements from his first tenure, including, ensuring regular payment of salaries, pensions, and gratuities.
Others are Promoting and implementing staff promotions, remodeling the State Secretariat and Conference Hall with state-of-the-art facilities.
He promised to introduce new programs to enhance members’ welfare and improve local government services.
He therefore appealed to Governor Mai Mala Buni to implement the new N70,000 minimum wage for local government workers, noting the economic challenges faced by workers.
Comrade Baba Shehu appreciated the strong relationship between the Union and the government and commended Governor Buni and other stakeholders for their support.
