NULGE Tragedy: Taraba Gov Mourns, Condoles With State Workers

The Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas has described as terribly sad the death of 3 members of the Taraba State Chapter of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE).
The expressed his feelings in a Press Statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Digital Communication, Mr Emmanuel Bello made available to Journalists in Jalingo, the State capital.
Dr. Kefas, condoled with the labour union while praying for the repose of their souls.
He said the loss is felt not only by the immediate family members of the deceased but by the whole workers in the state.
The Governor noted that the staff died in active service as hard-working individuals contributing their quota to national growth, stressing that their labor was never in vain.
He further noted that his administration will continue to take workers’ welfare seriously, saying both the human capital development of workers and their statutory entitlements will continue to be in the forefront of the government.
It would be recalled that members of NULGE were involved in a road accident along the Wukari- Jalingo road, which claiming 3 lives.
The deceased officials include Musa Ahmadi Alkali, the State Auditor; Hadiza Aliyu Barau, the Zing Chairperson; and Yakubu Tanko, the Branch Chairman.
“The 3 officials were returning from an official engagement in Abuja when the unfortunate incident occurred. May their soul continue to rest in Peace”.
