NUJ Zone E Passes Vote of Confidence in National Leadership

The Northeast Zone (Zone E) of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has unanimously passed a vote of confidence in the union’s National President, Mallam Alhassan Yahya and his leadership team.

The decision was reached during a zonal meeting held in Yola, which brought together the six State Council Chairmen and Secretaries of the zone, as well as members of the Central Working Committee (CWC) from the region.

In a resolution from the meeting, the zone commended Mallam Yahya for his compassionate and inclusive leadership, as well as for introducing innovative ideas that have positively shaped the union within his first year in office in the areas of health insurance for the members and climate change control.
The Deputy National President, Dr. Abimbola Oyetunde, was also recognized for her steadfast support and cooperation in steering the national leadership.
In her response, Dr. Oyetunde expressed profound gratitude to Zone E for acknowledging their contributions to the union’s progress.

She described the zone as the first to take such a significant step, noting that the gesture would further motivate the national leadership to redouble its efforts.
