NUJ National President Arrives Adamawa On A 2 Day Visit

The National President of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ Mallam Alhassan Yahya has arrived in Yola, the Adamawa State on a two day official visit.

He was received at the Yola Airport yesterday by some national and zonal officials as well as other Journalists, led by the Vice President Zone E, Comrade Zare Baba.
The NUJ who was accompanied by the Deputy National President, Dr Abimbola Oyetunde told reporters that he is Yola to among others things interact with members of the Union to brief them on the successes recorded and plans for the years ahead and to as well hear from the members some of their challenges as promised during his campaigns.
He added that he will also use the opportunity to pay a courtesy call on the Adamawa State Governor, Rt Hon Umaru Fintiri and inspect some key projects in the state.
The NUJ President announced that the Governor will also be honoured as one of the grand patrons of the Union apart from the presentation of an award to the Governor for his tremendous Infrastructural transformation of Adamawa State.
The NUJ President is equally expected to preside over the zonal meeting of Zone E being hosted by the Adamawa State Council in collaboration with the Adamawa State Government.

Already, all the State Chairmen and the Secretaries of the Union in the Northeast zone are in Yola for the zonal meeting.
