NUJ Holds NEC Meeting in Ibadan

The National Executive Committee, NEC meeting of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ is due to hold in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital on the 20th to the 21st of June 2024.
Delegates to the NEC are members of the Central Working Committee, CWC and the State Chairmen and Secretaries of the Union from across the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
Echo Express reports that already the delegates have started arriving the second largest city in the African Continent for the meeting.
The NEC meeting which will be chaired by the National President of the Union, Dr Chris Isiguzo is expected to discuss critical issues affecting the Union and the nation at large with a Communique expected at the end of the two days brainstorming session.
The Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde, who is the guest of honour is expected to declare the NEC meeting on Friday, 21st June 2024 by 10 O’clock in the morning at the NUJ Press Center located at the Iyaganku GRA Ibadan.
The investiture of the Governor as the Grand Patron of the NUJ in Oyo State will also take place during the quarterly event.
