Nov 8 Taraba LG polls: Don’t be misled, Taraba is for PDP – Bawa

As the people of Taraba State Northeast Nigeria prepare for the November 8 local government council elections to be conducted by the Taraba State Independent Electoral Commission (TSIEC), the electorates across the 16 Local Government Areas of the state have been advised not to allow anyone mislead or deceive them.

Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Abubakar Bawa spoke at Sunkani, headquarters of Ardo-Kola local government Area during a visit to the Council area.
Bawa who, was addressing PDP members and supporters at the local government Secretariat, advised the people to remain steadfast in PDP, saying Taraba has no other political party except PDP.
The PDP boss who was accompanied by the state working committee of the party, said they came with a thank you message from the Executive Governor of the State, Dr. Agbu Kefas.
According Bawa, Governor Agbu Kefas asked us to thank the people of the State for voting for him massively during the 2023 general elections.
“We have visited more than 10 LGAs of the State, spreading the thank you message from our Governor”, he said.
Governor Kefas also sent his messages to the traditional rulers across the State for believing in him and for contributing to the peaceful co-exisitence among the people and security of lives and property of the people.
As the local government polls draw closer, Bawa urged all Aspirants to follow the path of peace, do the right thing that would attract the people to vote for them.
He however, noted that he has not endorsed any body, describing himself as the father of all.
Also speaking, the Executive Chairman of Ardo-Kola local government area, Alhaji Ismail Zakari (Dangote) thanked the visitors for the visit.

Dangote, who appreciated Governor Kefas’ laudable achievements across the State and Ardo-Kola, pointed out that before he, (Kefas) came on board as the state governor, crime was the order of the day.
Today, according to him, the people sleep with their two eyes closed. “Kefas, being a military man liaised with the various security agencies with the support of the critical stakeholders and traditional rulers across the State, hence the peace we are enjoying today”, he said.
Dangote also called on the people of the State and Ardo-Kola to support the governor to succeed.
Ardo-Kola should also support him as their chairman. “The youths of Ardo-Kola, always embrace peace, it will help you to be useful to yourselves”, he added.
