NORTHEAST HUNTERS ASSOCIATION COMMISSIONS JOINT CAMEROUN-NIGERIA BORDER PATROL OFFICE IN ADAMAWA

The Northeast Hunters Association has commissioned trans-border CAMEROUN-NIGERIA Security post in kasuwan- Ladi’ NADO,a border community in Toungo local government area of Adamawa state.

The move is to curtail trans border crimes such as kidnappings, armed robbery and child trafficking.
Few among those that attended the event at the Sarki-Chamba palace at the border were traditional rulers from Wangai, Chamba-Cameroun, Boko, Laro from Cameroun.
Joint security officers including the Military and Vigilante attended the event.
The Northeast Hunters Association Chairman, Alhaji Modibbo Usman Idris Tola who commended Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for his support to the Association and other security agencies, assured the citizens of the State of safety during this farming season.
He said the wet-season is always associated with farmer/Herder clashes, promising that his gallant officers are always on ground for any eventualities.
Meanwhile, the Northeast Hunters Association had earlier performed their usual annual rituals (Salala) in Mayo-Belwa local government area.

The event was attended by hunters across the region.
Salala is an oath -taking ceremony where members converge on the ground in numbers with their armoury to take an oath not to breach ‘rules of engagement’during their routine operations for safety and security network.
