The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) has taken a decisive step towards the 2027 general elections with the inauguration of a 37-member State Executive Committee in Adamawa State.

The inauguration ceremony was performed on Monday at the party’s secretariat in Yola by the Chairman of the Congress Committee, Alhaji Ibrahim Madari.

In his address, Alhaji Abdu Madari charged the new executives with the critical task of mobilising support and strengthening the party’s structure across the state.

He emphasized the urgent need to reactivate reconciliatory mechanisms to entrench internal democracy and unity.

Highlighting the party’s growth, Madari revealed that the NNPP’s structure now extends to over 530 wards across all 21 local government areas of Adamawa.

He urged the leadership to exhibit patience, decorum, and focus on aggressive membership drives.

“We plan to establish a formal reconciliatory framework to build a more formidable movement,” Madami announced.

In his acceptance speech, the newly inaugurated State Chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Naibi Bala, thanked party members for their confidence and promised an inclusive administration.

“My priority is to reconcile all aggrieved members and ensure justice for everyone,” Bala stated.

He further stressed the strategic importance of actively involving women and youths in party activities to broaden and strengthen its base.

This call was echoed by the party’s Zonal Vice-Chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Bappa Gomnati, who tasked the new executives to prioritise internal democracy and aggressive membership mobilisation.

The State Woman Leader, Mrs. Saraya Solomon Ezekiel, pledged to lead extensive grassroots mobilisation efforts targeting women, aiming to secure the party’s victory in future elections.

The inauguration marks a significant move by the NNPP to consolidate its operational structure and foster internal unity in Adamawa State, as political alignments begin to crystallise ahead of the 2027 polls.
