New National Minimum Wage For Adamawa LG Workers
—Teachers praise Gov Fintiri

The leadership of Nigeria Union of Teachers, Adamawa State Wing, has praised the Adamawa state Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for the implementation of seventy thousand naira New National minimum wage for local government workers in which, teachers are the major beneficiaries of the gesture.

The Chairman of NUT in Adamawa State, Comrade Faisal Mohammed who expressed appreciation to the Governor, said his members have confirmed the alerts and such gesture has already served as a morale booster and increased purchasing power as sallah celebration draws closer.

A teacher from Michika, kwada Tumba who confided to this platform said “Fintiri iKon Allah’,I have received my own alert.
Similarly, Madam Safiya Abubakar, a teacher from Song in a joyous mood said ‘we thank the Governor for this magnanimity’.
The Commissioner for finance in Adamawa state after the State Executive Council meeting has also confirmed the payment of salaries to local government workers with the new minimum wage of 70 thousand naira in Adamawa state..
