National Youth Day: Strive To Be Peace Ambassadors, Northeast YOWICAN Charges Christian Youths

The Northeast Zonal Chairman of the Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria, YOWICAN, Evangelist Ephesians Jesse has changed Christian Youths to always strive to be Peace Ambassadors for the overall progress and development of the nation.

In a message to mark the annual occasion, Evangelist Ephesians Jesse highlighted the importance of the roles of the youth in shaping the future of the nation.
“As the Chairman of YOWICAN North East Zone, I am honored to address you all on this special day.
“As young Christians, we are called to be peace ambassadors in our communities. Let us strive to promote understanding, tolerance, and love among people of different backgrounds and faiths. We must avoid negative criticism and instead focus on building bridges of friendship and cooperation”.
Commenting on Self-Reliance and Personal Growth, the Zonal YOWICAN Chairman, stressed that to achieve full potential, the Youths must prioritize self-reliance and personal growth by developing skills, acquiring knowledge, and work hard to become productive members of our society.
“By doing so, we will become assets to our communities and contribute to the development of our nation.
He also spoke on “The Power of Good Company”.
“The company we keep can either inspire or hinder our progress. Let us surround ourselves with positive influences and avoid bad companies that can lead us astray. By choosing good company, we will be motivated to become the best versions of ourselves.
Speaking on the supporting for Government Policies,Evangelist Ephesians Jesse said as young citizens, it is the responsibility of the youth to support government policies that promote the well-being of our communities.
“Let us work together with our leaders to build a brighter future for ourselves and future generations.
He therefore used the opportunity to express his heartfelt appreciation to the Governors of Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Taraba, and Yobe states for their commitment to inclusive governance.
According to him, their leaderships have created an environment where youths can thrive and contribute to the development of the states in the zone.
On the forthcoming YOWICAN North East Mega Convention, he announced that the YOWICAN North East Zone will be hosting a mega convention in Taraba State from November 6th to 9th, 2025.
The Zonal Chairman said the event will bring together Christian youths from across the North East Zone to share ideas, learn from each other, and grow in our faith.
“I urge all of you to mobilize your friends and colleagues to attend this convention”.
He therefore made a passionate appeal to the Governors in the zone to support their youths to attend the convention, saying their support will enable them to make the most of the opportunity to empower the youths to become leaders in the communities.
“As we look to the future, let us remember that our youths are the leaders of tomorrow. Let us invest in their development, provide them with opportunities, and empower them to become agents of positive change in our society”.
Evangelist Ephesians Jesse reiterated the importance of the role of Christian youths in shaping the future of our nation, stressing the need for them to equally strive to prioritize self-reliance, surround themselves with positive influences and support government policies.
“Together, we can build a brighter future for ourselves and future generations”.
