NACCIMA AGM: DEFENCE MINISTER CALLS FOR INVESTMENT IN DEFENCE INDUSTRIES

The Minister of Defence, Hon Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, on Thursday, 19th June 2025, attended the 65th Annual General Meeting/Conference and Investiture Ceremony of the 23rd National President of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), held at the Banquet Hall in Ilorin, Kwara State.

Speaking at the event, the Minister encouraged members of the Association to explore and invest in Nigeria’s defence industries, underscoring the major reforms underway in the sector under the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He emphasized the vital role of the private sector in enhancing national defence capacity through local production, innovation, and strategic partnerships.

The high-level event was graced by several dignitaries, including the Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment, Senator John Owan Enoh, who represented the President, the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Olajumoke Oduwole, who served as Chairperson of the Conference, the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Prince Lateef Fagbemi, SAN, and the Deputy Governor of Kwara State, Mr Kayode Alabi, who represented the Governor of the State.
