- MURI EMIRATE COUNCIL PAYS SALLAH HOMAGE ON GOV KEFAS

The Members of the Muri Emirate Council on Monday paid a Sallah homage on the Governor of Taraba State Dr Agbu Kefas.
Receiving the delegation of the Muri Emirate council led by the Emir of Muri, Alhaji Abbas Njidda Tafida at the Exco Chamber Government House Jalingo, Dr Agbu Kefas, assured the Emir, his entourage and the good people of the state of his determination to serve the state.
He reaffirmed that whatever belongs to the people of the state will be given to them.
The Governor solicited for feedback from the people to be able to serve the state better.
He solicited the collaboration of the Emir to make Jalingo the state capital attractive and safe for people to do their business.
Earlier, the Emir of Muri, Alhaji Abbas Njidda Tafida described the Sallah celebration as his best as he is a witness to the good intentions and impactful leadership qualities of Dr Agbu Kefas.
He told the Governor that tribe and religion are from God and must be used to serve the state.
He assured the Governor of the support and cooperation of the Muri Emirate council for the development of the state.
Highlights of the visit were a presentation of kola nuts to the Governor and the Governor equally presented same to the Emir.
The Sallah Homage was attended by the state Deputy Governor Alhaji Aminu Abdullahi Alkali, Senator Haruna Manu, senator representing Taraba Central, Former Acting Governor, Alhaji Sani Abubakar Danladi, Speaker Taraba State House of Assembly Rt Hon John Kizito Bonzena, SGS Chief Gebon Timothy Kataps Chief of staff Government House Jalingo Dr Jeji Williams Head of Civil Service Mr Paul Tino Maigida, Members of the state Executive Council, Special Advisers and Members of the Muri Emirate council among others.
