Mourners Hold 7th Day Prayer For Late NCWS President

The Seventh Day Fidau prayers for the late President of the National Council of Women Societies, NCWS, Hajiya Lami Adamu Lau was held this Tuesday in Jalingo amidst emotional feelings.
Our Correspondent who monitored the event says tears flew freely as NCWS Women and affiliate groups from within and outside the State converged on the family compound of the deceased in Jalingo, the Taraba State capital.
Prominent among those on the condolence visits and at the prayers were wives of Governors from some Northern states, present and past Ministers of Women Affairs, former Presidents of NCWS and present exco members of the council among others all at 7th day prayers.
Wife of the president, Senator Oluremi Tinubu eulogized late Hajiya Lami Adamu Lau, describing her as a rare gem who affected her Society positively.
Senator Oluremi Tinubu who is also the grand patron of the NCWS was represented by wife of the vice president, Nana Shettima.
She said death is inevitable to all humans and prayed for the repose of the soul of the late President.
Senator Oluremi Tinubu said there is time for everything; hence the need for the family to see the demise as an act of God, saying her legacies will remain inedible.
The NCWS National Vice President, Geraldine Etuk who visibly broke down in tears, managed to give a tribute in memory of late Lami Adamu Lau, extolling her extraordinary attributes since she assumed office as the National president.
