She called on the other contestants that lost out at the contest not to lose hope but join hands with her to see how best they would impact positively for the development of their people.

“I want to appreciate God for giving me the opportunity to serve my people in this capacity. I also want to appreciate the organizers of this contest for providing a leveled playing ground for all contestants to participate to the fullest during the contest.

“Again I want to call on the losers of this contest to consider my victory as a victory for all of us. I solicit for their cooperation and pledge that I will always carry them along in all my Programs. To my people, I want to assure them that the Lord that brought me to this position will help me to contribute my little quota towards transforming the fortunes of the Tiv people of the State. I sincerely solicit for their prayers”, he said.

Earlier, the coordinator of the contest and Women Leader, Tiv Cultural and Social Association Taraba State, Mrs Mercy Iyo, appreciated the peaceful conduct of the contest and encouraged the new Face of Tiv Taraba to embrace inclusive leadership style and work harmoniously with leaders and stakeholders of the state to foster unity and progress of the Tiv ethnic group, especially among the youths.
