May Day: Taraba Gov Salutes  Workers

The Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas has congratulated and commended Taraba state workers on the 2025 May Day event.

The Governor’s message is contained in a Press Release signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Digital Communications, Mr Emmanuel Bello and made available to Journalists in Jalingo, the Taraba State Capital.

The Governor stressed that Taraba workers have continued to maintain the pace as hardworking individuals who place professionalism above every other thing.

Dr. Kefas assured that his administration will continue to support workers and ensure they are given all the tools needed to succeed in their chosen career.

On the issue of salaries and other entitlements, Dr. Kefas noted that he has never shied away from swiftly addressing all matters pertaining workers’ rights and privileges, saying Taraba state takes the lead on minimum wage payments, gratuities, and other packages designed to elevate the workers.

The Governor recalled that one of the very first actions he took on the assumption of office was to visit the state secretariat complex in Jalingo, reaffirming his commitment to make the edifice conducive for workers.

He further pledged to ensure that the civil service continues to function very well, especially in the areas of promotion, training, and provision of modern working tools.

He however called on workers to give their best and restore the glory of the civil service, which includes dedication to duty, promptness, and adherence to the service rules and regulations.
