Matter Of Urgent Public Importance
On Sunday, the 21st of July 2024, a distressing incident occurred involving a family of five from Taraba state who reside in Kaduna. During the early hours of that day, they were forcibly taken by unknown gunmen, causing great concern for their well-being.
To exacerbate the situation, the abductors have demanded a substantial sum of money as ransom.
This demand presents an insurmountable challenge for the father, who is a civil servant, to meet on his own.
The individuals taken include the mother, three young children, the oldest being only nine years old, and their cousin, who was subjected to physical violence and is presently in dire need of medical care.
The health conditions of the mother and children also remain uncertain.
