Manchester City vows to hunt down Arsenal as Manchester United targets fifth win

From Tanko Bauka

Action resumes today Tuesday in the English Barclays Premier League in the week 26 fixtures across various stadia in England.

Tottenham Hotspur had been on the bad side of poor results recently as they have failed to impress since the beginning of the current league season though their performance in the UEFA Champions League is excellent but woefully in the domestic league.

Thomas Frank was hired at the beginning of the football season to stabilise, restore confidence, and turn the team into a formidable force not only in English football but in Europe and in ten months as Tottenham Hotspur’s head coach he has not helped improve the fortune of the Club as they continue to regress instead of progressing.

That said and done Tottenham Hotspur have yet another opportunity to correct all the wrongs as they welcome another struggler in the league, Newcastle United.

Tottenham Hotspurs have endured more pain this season than happiness week in week out they turned out in numbers to offer moral support to the team they have come to love so deeply and dearly hoping one day things will change for the better.

Newcastle United are not faring any better themselves as they have underperformed, so both teams need this match to show their determination and commitment that they can change things for good.

Everton host AFC Bournemouth and both teams are chasing European football next season, Everton came from behind to defeat Fulham at Craven Cottage during the weekend while AFC Bournemouth could only manage a one-all draw with Aston Villa at the Vitality stadium.

Both teams are eyeing the three points at stake to boost their European charge.
Chelsea has improved significantly since the appointment of Liam Rosenior as the head coach, who has been able to restore discipline in the Chelsea side that collects matching order every weekend and the boys have been delivering to the delight of the fans again.

Since his appointment, he lost only two matches and in the Carabao Cup to Arsenal and as the Blues prepared to welcome Leeds United to Stamford Bridge in London, the memory of the first leg will definitely flash through their minds as they were torn apart by Daniel Farke’s Leeds United at Elland Road.

Leeds United safe for yet another top flight football in the elite league next season due to their position in the league table would want to prove that their win against Chelsea at Elland road was not a fluke so will want to prove a points but they have to do it the hard way because the Chelsea they will meet is not the same again with the one they defeated at home.

Whatever the outcome of the match it will definitely do a whole lot of good to whoever comes out victorious.

West Ham United have been in the forefront as they keep producing positive results towards escaping relegation and wouldn’t mind to continue winning but they would have their hands full this Tuesday evening as they tackle impressive Manchester United at the Olympics stadium in London.

Manchester United having won four straight matches under the tutelage of Michael Carrick would want to add West Ham United as their number five victims as they cement their position in the top four but the Red Devils should not underrate West Ham United at this critical stage as their host would throw anything at them to ensure they collect all three points.

After their impressive performance against the defending Champions Liverpool FC at Anfield Stadium, Manchester City would be at Etihad Stadium to battle Fulham and they can close the gap to three points as Arsenal would be playing on Thursday at Brentford.

Manchester City had bee on the trail of the league leader Arsenal and can unsettled them with a win against Fulham which is what they would be playing for and pray Arsenal falter against Brentford on Thursday but at this point in time it’s seems Mikel Arteta and his boys know the enormous pressure that comes with the position where they are presently and will not allow any slip.

Nottingham Forest host Wolverhampton Wanderers to avoid being dragged in relegation battle as they sit just three points above relegation while Wolverhampton Wanderers can be thinking of life in the Championship next season as they can hardly escape relegation.

Crystal Palace entertain relegation-bound Burnley at Selhurst Park as Aston Villa welcome Brighton to Villa Park to put their title charge back on track with Sunderland taking on the defending Champions Liverpool at the Stadium of Light.

The league leader Arsenal make a short trip across London to take on Brentford in a London derby and by the time the Gunners take to the pitch to confront Brentford, their six points lead had been cut to just only three points if their title rival Manchester City are able to beat Fulham and that will definitely increase their nervousness but they must find a way to deal with it if they are to avoid being a usual suspect of handing over the league title to their opponent at a critical moment.

Many football pundits believe the Gunners have the mental strength to go all out as the league is there to lose.
