Man U Rising Under Ruben Amorim
From Tanko Bauka
Manchester United, under Ruben Amorim, produced one of their best performances since the commencement of the 2024-2025 season against the league leader, Liverpool FC, in a week 20 encounter in which nobody gave Manchester United any glimpse of hope or any chance of surviving the rampant Liverpool onslaught.

Manchester United popularly known as the Red Devils went into the match on the back of poor results after losing three matches in a row while Liverpool FC sitting pretty top of the league table flying and firing from all cylinders on all fronts, demolishing any opponents that come across their path.
However, on a day many expected them to give Manchester United the bashing of their lives, they failed to deliver and came out second best because Manchester United gave them the game of their lives.
After each team tried to cancel out the other in the first half, the match still ended up goalless but on resumption of the second half, Liverpool as always the case with them tried to rush their opponents by applying more pressure, pressing Manchester United nonstop but the red devils stood their ground marching Liverpool toe to toe and in the 52 minutes, Martinez broke the deadlock for the visitors to silence the Liverpool vociferous fans.
Liverpool Gakpo, however, restored parity in the 59 minutes with their talisman, Mohammed Salah scoring from the spot in the 70 minutes to give the home team the lead but the lead lasted for only ten minutes as Manchester United, Amad Diallo who is the star boy in the Manchester United squad, pop up to level up and sent their supporters into wild jubilation.
With such a performance and results, Manchester United can now breathe a little as the league goes into a two-week break.
In other encounters, Arsenal and Chelsea again failed to close the gap between them and Liverpool as they both played out a one-all draw against Crystal Palace and Brighton Albion but Manchester City continued their rebuilding process as they hammered West Ham 4-1 while Aston Villa defeated Leicester City 2-1 with Brentford demolishing Southampton 5-0.
Newcastle United continued their fine form as they pip Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 to stay within the reach of the top four.
In the Italian Serie A, Napoli continued their momentum towards winning the Scudetto with a comfortable 3-0 win against Fiorentina while AS Roma defeated Lazio 2-0 in the Roma derby and the relegation battle Cagliari inflicted more pains on AC Monza with a 2-1 win to collect all the three points at stake.
