Livestock Development Commission: Taraba Gov Constitutes Membership

The Taraba State Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas has approved the appointment of the Chairman and members of the Taraba State Livestock Development Commission.

The appointment which is contained in a Press Release issued by the Secretary to the Government of Taraba State, Chief Gebon Timothy Kataps, is subject to the confirmation of the Members by the Taraba State House of Assembly.
The Commission is to be chaired by Dr Dauda Abubakar Muhammad.
Other members of the Commission are Dr Tirmidhi Aliyu Baba, Bujuje Akape Danjuma, Dr Aisha Bashir Ardo and the Permanent Secretary.
Also to serve on the Commission include the representatives of the selected ministries, departments, agencies and unions among others who are not below the rank of a Director.
They are ministries of Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, Agriculture and Food Security, Health, Justice, Environment, Education, Commerce, Trade and Industry.
Others are Taraba Geographic Information System, TAGIS, Taraba State Marshal Security Guards, Nigeria Police, Myetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association, All Farmers Association of Nigeria and cattle breeders.
The Press Release also stressed that 3:persons, at least one of which should be a female are to represent livestock farmers, Butchers, Diary or Farmers Association in the state, traditional rulers in the state as well as livestock and crop farmers.
