LAWMAKER INJECTS N100M INTO CONSTITUENCY EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMME IN NUMAN

In a major empowerment initiative, the Member representing Numan constituency in the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Pwamwakaino Mackondo, has launched a N100 million support programme for his constituents.

The substantial investment is aimed at boosting livelihoods and agricultural productivity within the community.
The programme was executed in two key phases which includes;
Agricultural Support: A significant portion, N57 million, was dedicated to procuring essential farm inputs to enhance local food production while for Direct Financial Aid & Equipment: The sum of N43 million was distributed directly in cash to over 900 verified beneficiaries.
Additionally, the lawmaker provided tangible assets including: Point of Sale (POS) machines to 10 individuals,10 local boats, Water pump generators, Agrochemicals and knapsack sprayers.

Addressing the beneficiaries, Hon Mackondo pledged the continuity of the empowerment scheme.
He expressed gratitude to the State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, for enabling members of the State Assembly to effectively support their people.
He urged residents to maintain confidence in the present administration’s commitment to human capital development and sustainable economic growth.
The Director General of PAWECA, Dr. Michael Zira, represented by Mallam Sani Abdulkadir, commended Mackondo’s efforts.
He strongly cautioned beneficiaries against selling the empowerment items, emphasizing that they are tools for long-term self-sufficiency.
Echoing similar sentiments, PAWECA’s Procurement Director, Mr. Indi Thomas, hailed the lawmaker as a “man of his words.”
He also called for sustained support for Governor Fintiri, whom he described as an “All Rounder” leader driving development across sectors.
The event has generated positive reactions within the constituency, with many beneficiaries hopeful that the support will significantly impact their economic activities.
