Kuchicheb Festival: KYN President calls for peaceful celebration

The National President, Kuteb Yatso of Nigeria (KYN) Comr. Emmanuel Ukwen has called on the Kuteb people all over the world to celebrate the Kuchicheb Festival peacefully.
Comr.Ukwen made the call in a telephone interview with our reporter on the event to mark the 2025 Kuchicheb Festival celebration.
He stated that 25th of March was set aside over 400 years for the celebration of the rich cultural heritage of the Kuteb nation.
“Kuchicheb embodies the values of service and spirituality and this festival serves as a wonderful opportunity for the Kuteb community to come together and share ideas and feelings, preserving their culture and tradition.
“It is also a time where we converge to thank God for bountiful harvest in the previous year and pray for more harvests and good things in the coming years,”he said
He however called on the Government of Taraba State to as a matter of urgency, lift the ban on the celebration of Kuchicheb Festival in Southern Taraba that was imposed by the late Gov. Danbaba Suntai to allow the people celebrate their culture and unity.
