Felix Chrisantus Dame
The Chairman of Kasuwan Bera (Kofai Market) in Ardo-Kola Local Government Area of Taraba State, Mr. Alfred P. Yani, JP, has called on the Taraba State Government to intervene in addressing key challenges facing farmers and the market.

Mr. Alfred P. Yani, JP
Speaking on Monday, February 9, 2026, Mr. Yani said although grain prices have dropped, making food more affordable, the high cost of fertiliser has made it difficult for farmers to sustain production.
He urged the government to provide fertiliser and other farming inputs to support agriculture in the state.
He also noted that security in the market is stable and well managed.
However, he expressed concern over inadequate toilet facilities, especially on busy market days, and appealed for additional sanitation infrastructure to improve hygiene.
